Alexander DeMoura

BS, LAT, ATC, Injury Prevention Specialist

I grew up in Shelton, CT. I played soccer and volleyball in high school, where I found an interest in healthcare and wanted to pursue a career but not knowing in exactly what. I attended Southern Connecticut State University, and while there I worked at a local coffee house and found the Athletic Training program. I was drawn toward the profession from the start for all it encompasses as well as being an ever-growing field. Before working at ATP, I was a student athletic trainer at high schools, colleges, and clinics in the New Haven area: Yale, Hopkins School, Wilbur Cross High, and Branford High. My preceptors and professors are some inspirations for reaching into the field of industrial athletic training and I’m very fortunate to find a company that gives young professionals a place to learn and grow.

I believe that everyone deserves the resources and knowledge for a healthy, manageable, and enjoyable lifestyle.

I work to prevent injuries and aid employees a warehouse. I help provide an on-site presence and to identify possible issues in the workplace. Working to help mitigate possible injury and safety concern, triage through injuries and concerns, and collaborating with managers and supervisors to ensure safety of all warehouse employees.

The clients are everything in this job, without them this role is nothing. Getting thanks and hearing about the change in not only their work life but changes they made personally to improve their lifestyle habits reflect the great work this profession does. The company also emphasizes learning from those around you and always having someone to help when you have questions or are unsure is a great reassurance.
