Andrew Nation received his Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from Kansas State University in 2017. While in school, Andrew gained experience by working with multiple sports including football, soccer, track & field, and baseball. He became a certified athletic trainer in April of 2017 and was licensed in Kansas and Missouri as of September and October that same year. Andrew worked for a year providing medical coverage for youth sports as well as serving as the primary athletic trainer for a local Kansas City suburban middle school. Andrew then went back to school at Barry University in Miami, FL where he earned his Masters degree in Human Performance with a specialization in Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology. While in school, Andrew worked with Div II athletes on their mental performance and worked periodically as an athletic trainer for youth sports as a FL licensed athletic trainer. Andrew met his wife while earning his Bachelors and they were married in late 2019. She joined him in Miami to finish Andrew's degree then moved back to the Kansas City area in 2020. Since returning to Kansas, Andrew has primarily worked as an Athletic Trainer for a local high school and covered youth soccer events. In addition, Andrew has experience as a Cognitive/Behavior Therapist working with traumatic brain injury clients and assisting them to achieve their goals and to reintegrate back into society. This unique experience allowed Andrew to continue using his performance psychology degree and help a unique population of individuals. Andrew also worked with some high school athletes on mental performance techniques to assist them in improving their play during practice and in games. Outside of work Andrew enjoys watching sports, spending time with his wife and nieces, and traveling.
