Jairo Diaz

Jairo Diaz, LAT, ATC

Jairo Diaz was born in Anaheim, California but raised in the suburbs of Kansas City on the Kansas side with his parents and 2 younger brothers.

He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Kansas in 2018. Jairo's first stint as a healthcare provider was as an intern for a professional soccer club called Sporting Kansas City; which is a club within Major League Soccer (MLS).

After completing his 1 year internship in professional soccer, Jairo went full-time as a Minor League Athletic Trainer within the Detroit Tigers Major League Baseball (MLB) organization. Because of his competency, confidence and bilingualism in English and Spanish; Jairo was elected to provide healthcare for the professional baseball players at the rookie ball level at the Tiger's spring training facility in Lakeland, Florida and at the Tiger's international baseball academy located in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic.

Due to COVID-19 complications, the 2020 minor league season was cancelled and he was forced to move back to Kansas City where he became a High School Athletic Trainer for a pediatric hospital called Children's Mercy Hospital.

Now Jairo is extremely excited to take on his new role as an Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS) for Accelerate Therapy & Performance. He relocated to Texas and is now based at the Denton Aldi Distribution Center as their full-time IPS.
